Washington, DC
The Court of Federal Claims Bar Association in conjunction with its The Young Lawyers Division and the United States Court of Federal Claims is sponsoring a late afternoon Brown Bag with a reception to follow on July 16, 2015. We know you will have already eaten by the 4 pm start, so instead of lunch we will have a substantive discussion with a panel comprised of two distinguished jurists and government and private practice attorneys, followed by a reception hosted by the private law firm of Rogers Joseph Donnell, PC. The substantive session will be in Courtroom 203 – so this will be food free and only totally empty Brown Bags are permitted.
We cordially invite interns of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, summer law clerks at the U.S. Department of Justice, law firm Summer Associates, and Young Lawyers interested in learning more about the Court and its Bar Association to attend an outstanding afternoon panel at the Court and reception hosted by Rogers Joseph O’Donnell, PC. This will be a great opportunity to learn about the variety of practice areas within the Court’s jurisdiction and network with current bar members. Panelists include: Judge Lydia Kay Griggsby and Senior Judge Nancy B. Firestone of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims; George R. Stewart, Assistant Chief, Court of Federal Claims Section, Tax Division, U.S. Department of Justice; and Lewis S. Wiener, Chair, Insurance and Financial Services Litigation Group and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, Sutherland Asbill & Brennan, LLP and former trial lawyer with the U.S. Department of Justice. Edward J. Passarelli, Deputy Chief, Natural Resources Section, Environment and Natural Resources Division, U.S. Department of Justice, will act as the panel moderator. Messrs. Stewart, Wiener, and Passarelli are all former Presidents of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims Bar Association.
The reception following the panel will be hosted by Rogers Joseph Donnell, PC, to their offices located at 875 15th Street, NW, Suite 725, Washington, DC 20005. There is no cost to attend these events. Please register using the following link.
