Since 1987, members of the Court of Federal Claims Bar Association from both the private bar and the government have worked together to support the Court in administering justice between the United States and its citizens. Now, 35 years later, our mission is more important than ever.
The Bar Association has thrived in the virtual environment, but we also look forward to returning to in-person activities soon! One silver lining from the last two years has been our seamless adoption of online programming, including two virtual Judicial Conferences and regular “Brown Bag” seminars to discuss hot topics. While we look forward to building on the enhanced accessibility of these platforms to service a national Bar Association membership, we are also anxious to reestablish some of the Court’s and Bar Association’s traditional in-person activities. Please visit the Bar Association’s webpage and check your email inbox for periodic updates on the Annual Law Day Observance and Judicial Conference celebrations—we hope 2022 will allow us to see you there.
Whether you are a long-time member of the Bar Association, or are handling your first case at the Court, I invite you to participate in bar association events. Attend upcoming programs, read our Newsletter to find out what's happening at the Court, and join any of our social activities. And, if you are interested in getting more involved, we have many opportunities to do so. Now, more than ever, participation in the Bar Association can help you thrive professionally and personally, to the ultimate benefit of the Court and all those who appear before it.
